In this post, we will pull back the veil and view Pearl’s future home as she has dreamed about it so very often.
To Pearl, The Heavenly City is magnificent. Even in her dreams of it, there were fascinating things wherever she looked, but the most fascinating of all was The Great Gardener’s Son sitting on his throne. There was no night in The Heavenly City because The Great Gardener’s Son illuminated everything.
Note: Chickens call God “The Great Gardener” because he created everything and made The Earth as his own special garden for Himself. His plan included sharing His Great Garden with people and all the special things he would make such as chickens. Chickens also call Jesus “The Great Gardener’s Son.”
In Pearl’s dreams, The Heavenly City had plenty of space for both people and chickens. Around every corner, there was be something fascinating to see, but none of those fascinating things could compare to The Great Gardener’s Son sitting on His throne next to His Father. She learned the words sung by The Songbirds so that she could share them with others.
Note: The text which follows uses italic in order to make it stand out. Chickens and The Songbirds of The Living Library call The Bible “The Ancient Words.” These words in italics are what that they use and are not from any particular human translation. These are the words sung into Pearl’s dreams as she slept. We hope they paint pleasantly beautiful pictures in your mind as they did hers.
And the city needed neither the sun nor the moon to shine in it. For, the glory of God lighted it, and the Lamb was its light.
The saved nations will walk in its light. The earth’s kings will bring their glory and honor into it.
And the gates of The Heavenly City were each made from a single Pearl. They did not shut at all by day because there shall be no night there.
And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.
Nothing that defiles, or works abomination or lies, shall enter it. Only those written in the Lamb’s book of life may enter.
Although our hope is that may will find these words simpler to read and easier to understand, you may want to read Revelation Chapter 21: 22-27 in your own favorite translation rather than Pearl’s Ancient Words for Chickens. We trust that whatever version you read, you will find a home here.
Pearl had no worries about chickens not being allowed in, and as she thought about it even more, she knew not to worry about some people not being allowed in. Pearl knew that Jesus Himself had His Own Way to make a person eligible to be allowed in.
Pearl liked how there would never be darkness in The Heavenly City very much because all chickens are afraid of the night. This is why they move higher into their coops or onto tree limbs in order to not be found by predators. To Pearl, The Heavenly City was a Place of Safety for Chickens and a Place of Salvation for People.
The only thing that trouble Pearl was how and why the gates of The Heavenly City would be made from chickens named Pearl like herself. Surely there was a chicken perspective to this, and we will explore it soon!
