“Don’t think that I have come to destroy The Ancient Words of The Law or The Prophets. I have not come to destroy. I have come to fulfill all that has been written about me. I will fulfill The Old Solemn Promises through the Law so that The New Solemn Promises through the Spirit can replace them.” (Matt. 5:17)
As a reminder, let us remember our own Solemn Promises the way that God and Chickens look at them, and let us give thanks for the help of The Great Gardener’s Son in fulfilling Solemn Promises.
From Pearl’s Dicitonary of the Chicken Language: Not all words in The Chicken Language have an equivalent word in the English Language. (Chickens use the single compound word Ü(h)-Ÿa(h)-äwres to mean the two words “Solemn Promise.” Chickens take Solemn Promises very seriously and will do anything necessary to fulfill them.
About Solemn Promises: It was a Solemn Promise that compelled Nate and Gracie to venture to Paris France in Pearl’s telling of Through the Gate where they all went to find The Palais Garnier, home of the Paris Opera Ballet. Getting her there was Nate’s Solemn Promise to Gracie. Dancing Ballet there and remembering that her first stage was Nate’s Shoe was Gracie’s Solemn Promise to Nate.)
Answer to Yesterday’s Question about which chicken was Pearl: Only Pearl’s wings show behind Jesus. She is reflecting his Light and Love out into the world which is what we are all called to do!
