My chickens knew that guardian angels were real because Jesus spoke about them in The Ancient Words.

As chickens, they had Ravens and Crows to protect them in the world they could see, but there had to be angels devoted to helping animals in the world they could not see.

My chickens realized that because Jesus cares about what people care about, he sends Guardian angels to help little children that grown-up people care about. So, it makes sense that He would send angels to help chickens and other animals like pets that people care about.

Regarding people, guardian angels play a supportive role in their spiritual journey toward salvation. They guide people, protecting them from spiritual dangers and encouraging them to make righteous decisions. By offering divine protection and wisdom, they help keep people on the path toward God and spiritual growth.

But regarding chickens, is this necessary? Pearl wondered if chickens can make unrighteous or evil decisions? Can chickens choose a path of willful disobedience to God?

Pearl had stolen tasty earthworms from other chickens, but they had stolen earthworms from her. It was stealing, but it was also part of a game they had made up. There were never any hurt feelings.

Pearl had eaten tasty earthworms, and that wasn’t part of a game. It was killing, but was it purposeful murder?

Pearl realized that she should not try to apply to chickens the same commandments of God that were given to people. He had given only one commandment to chickens and all other creatures he had created, and that was simply “Be fruitful and multiply.” Hens obeyed by laying eggs, and with the help of a rooster, their obedience made more baby chicks. Those baby chicks would need earthworms to grow up strong and healthy, and that’s why those earthworms were also being fruitful and multiplying.

It was an amazing plan that connected everthing God had made! Just as eating worms helped chickens to be strong and healthy, eating chickens probably helped other creatures to be strong and healthy. And if a chicken didn’t get eaten, it still returned to the soil from which it was made.
